Just picked up a 5 litre MotoMaster Formula 1 5w20 jug at Canadian Tire for 16.19 on sale..regular price 24.99..but i cant do my oil change on my truck until it stops raining. This week its going to be a deep freeze -19C and thats ok with me draining the oil

Well, you missed out when it was only $13 and change a while back. I have that in my car now (first time trying it) and it seems to be a good oil for my car, so far. Have fun with the oil change!!

I heard the forecast for rain but we are getting the white stuff right now, I hope it doesn't change over to rain. Fingers crossed.

I was just thinking about both MotoMaster Supreme and MotoMaster Formula 1 conventional..i do know both are packaged by Shell but wonder if its Shell Formula put in MotoMaster jugs

I think i solved my answer..little research. The MotoMaster Supreme is pure Shell and MotoMaster Formula 1 is pure semi synthetic..hope im right

I know all the CT house brand oils are both made by Shell but the semi-synthetic is a surprise....Formula1 conventional says it includes a "synthetic additive" Wearguard....does that qualify as a syn-blend? Where did you get your info from cuz I do like the formula 1 oil and plan on using it again.

I spoke to a Shell emplyee and stated MotoMaster Formula 1 is the same oil as Shell Semi Synthetic brand

Yup, they jacked up the prices on oils that their 35% off deals don't mean as much as they used to. As Walmart lately has been lazy with their oil deals, especially synthetics, when they do finally have one of their specials I stock up.

No..what i did was i called Shells toll free number in Calgary Alberta..i will take it for what its worth their say

Walmart,Canadian Tire are rip offs for conventional Mobil,Castrol, pennzoil Quaker State and seems like just the same game as gas prices

Yes, Walmart Canada is no different, and wants us to chase their sales. To make matters worse, they have far more unadvertised specials than Canadian Tire, so one actually has to go in and find out if there's a deal.

Any oil bought anywhere here in Canada is going to be a rip off but Walmart does have better prices than CT when it comes to specials with their 4.73, 4.4 & 4L sizes. Even when CT has the same size deals they are a couple of bucks more than WM.
