Canadian Tire has Formula 1 Full Synthetic on sale for $15.99 / 4.4 litre jug so off I went to stock up on some. When I checked the jug at the store I noticed there is no indication of it meeting Ford Spec WSS-M2C930. It has the API mark and says "Meets industry requirements" Anyone know if this oil meets Ford Spec and how do I get it in writing so I don't have any warranty issues? Thanks.

Not necessarily. My Schaeffer's 5w20 doesn't mention the Ford 930 spec, but does in fact meet the spec.

Do they have a website?

There is a website but it doesn't have the info, but I e-mailed them so hopefully they will reply. This oil is supposed to be re-badged Formula Shell Synthetic so I would hope it meets manufacturer requirements, but my pickup is still under warranty so I want to be sure.

I would surely think with the ford specs 29 & 30 being 2 of the most popular they would put it on the bottle.

Not to sure on the quality of Motormaster Synthetic but if you want a real top quality synthetic you might want to try Petro Canada Supreme Synthetic. It meets Ford's spec's. You can check it for yourself.

Just check the website for a bulk fuel dealer in your area and call for a price. It is cheaper than buying it a gas station. It's usually at a very good price. I got a price the other day for their synthetic atf at $5.25/L. Just thought I'd pass on some info in case the motormaster syn doesn't meet Ford's spec's as an option.

Forgot to mention in my first post, the Schaeffer's bottles do say "Exceeds GM, Ford requirements, etc." but the specific specs aren't listed for any manufacturer's. I'm pretty sure some do though, I think PP? (Seems like I remember specs on the bottles).

I received an e-mail from Canadian Tire in response to my enquiry. They state that while Motomaster Synthetic oil is "top quality" they make no vehicle specific claims, so, unless Shell lets me know that this oil meets Ford Spec, back to the store it goes and let the buyer beware.I guess I'll make a weekend run across the line for some Motorcraft Syn Blend. I know that meets Ford spec!

"Top Quality" just like those Chinese filters that were just recalled........

Finally got a reply from Shell after 10 days. The oil does meet Ford spec. Too bad they don't put it on the bottle.

Try telling that to Ford when you have a warranty claim.
