this may already be posted, but i didnt see it. So im curious what all the rest of you DIY guys consider the most valuable, or most used tool in your garage.

#1 My craftsman air compressor.. on the weekends it gets used daily

#2 my breaker bar. remember the old cement filled weights ? and the cheap benches that were part of the set ? I have a steel bar from one of those old sets that one end ive hammered down so i can slip a ratchet or a wrench in the end of it when i need to torque on something stubborn (more often than i like) Id be lost without this little homeade breakerbar.

My favorite most used tool is the harbor freight torque wrench.
I use them for regular ratchets.awesome for $10 each.

Lifting tools. I use my floor jack and jack stands nearly every time because a lot of the time when I have my truck in the garage, at least the front end is off the ground. I use my HF electric impact wrench a lot too, I take the wheels off with it and use it spin the lug nuts back down close to the wheel when I reinstall the wheels but I torque the nuts to specs by hand after that. Other than those one of the things I reach for most often is either one of my drop lights or a flashlight. My garage is very well lit but I still like a good light so I can really see what I am doing.

If you use torque wrenches like a regular ratchet, then they are probably no longer accurate and shouldn't be used to torque fasteners.

You know that, don't you?

At $10 each I can afford to buy one for each job.
I just enjoy the stronger gears and longer handle compared to standard ratchets.

Bud light has a twist off cap, i threw my bottle openers away..

Probably the pressure washer. Between the lawn mower, 2 fourwheelers, golf cart, and 6 vehicles, the 2700psi Craftsman with Honda engine definitely gets used.

Im with you on pressure washer use, two motorcycles, two cars, mower, and im fixing to add a Polaris Ranger to the mix.. ive used the washer alot.. just used the Compressor a little more. AND, frankly the washer for me is more of a lux tool, where a compressor in my garage is a must have.. wouldnt wanna give up my craftsman 2700 power washer though, its eats the green buildup off my North sideing very well every few years.

+1

I twist off too. After that, I'll say my extension cord.

Craftsman 3/8" Flex head Offset ratchet, first one I reach for for almost any task within the engine bay or under the car.

Can of Penetro 90 and Cyclo Brake parts cleaner to compliment the task.
