Mahzurrah!
I've long favored the Fram oil filter website for filter look ups. It's always been a great source of crosses to competitors filters, and especially helpful when researching possible alternate filters, such as an off spec upsize filter.

Yesterday my son pulled a filter off his new to him F-150 and it wasn't what we expected, a Fram Core 10060. I immediately jumped on the Fram site to see if it was a correct cross for the spec'd PH2, turns out it apparently is. Unfortunately, I also noticed a change. In the past detailed thread size and pitch was listed for all filters. Now they simply list "metric" or "standard" with no other information. First Brands has struck again!

While still a good look up source, it will now be much more difficult to compare filters. Fortunately, the gasket, base plate and can sizes are still listed.

I use the Wix website for finding filters, good cross reference, hope they keep it as is.

Metric or standard really isn’t a size. Metric is also standard. Must be a lot going on with the website dept.

Two different contexts of the word. Both ISO Metric and United Thread Standard (UTS) threads are defined thread "standards", but the word "Standard" in UTS could be used to define the UTS thread standard.

Here we go again. The web description is “thread size.” Metric and standard are not a size. That would be “measurement system.” Standard being known commonly as inches. That was the op’s beef. I can understand the context. No sizes. If you want to write more pages about something like this, it’s your right.

I was point out the context of the word "standard", because it's being use in two different contexts - "standard threads" and "metric is a standard" (not "metric is standard") can mean two different things. Yeah, anyone who knows anything about fastener threads should know that "Metric" and "Standard" are not actual sizes. Fram left the old description title of "Thread Size" (because they are lazy - should have removed the word "Size", or replaced it with "Type") and simply removed the actual thread size information and put "Metric" if it's a metric thread, and "Standard" if it's a standard (non-metric) thread.

I noticed that a couple weeks ago, it was quite irritating, I can remember the part numbers for the old metric GM filters without the bypass but I was looking them up to check the thread size and it wasn't listed anymore just the useless "metric" or "standard"
