Recently installed a set of Monroe Reflex shocks on my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I am blown away in how the handling has improved. Anyone looking for shocks should take a look at these, especially with some of the rebates Monroe is offering.

I use Monroe Reflex on my Dakota too. Much better shock than the Monroe Sensa-Trac I had on there before. For the price the Reflex is a really good shock.

Unfortunately they don't make a Reflex that will mount in my vehicle so I guess the Sensatrac's are the only Monroe option for those of us with older cars...

Hm, have almost new sensatracs on the rear of my grand cherokee 2002 and now I need new front shocks.
What is smartest: sensatracs in the front too, or can I put reflex there?

Second this!!

I put a set of my diesel 2500HD about 3 months ago. Wanted Bilstein 500's...but at 2-3X the cost...couldn't justify it. Plus there were a lot of people on dieselplace not happy with them.

Bought the Monroe's and compared to my stock shocks with 35k miles...NIGHT AND DAY!!!

I think I got mine from justsuspension. Around $35/each, plus I found an online coupon. Total cost was around $110 for 4.

They've been my go to shock on all my trucks for years. Currently have them on my Jeep Cherokee, Ford Explorer, and on the rears of my F150 (not made for the front

I installed a set (F&R) a few years ago on my '03 Safari. Really improved the ride/handling on this top heavy box.

+1 2008 jeep GC.

to the above poster--- match them-- the sensatraks valve differently than reflexes. I had sensatraks on my last jeep and was happy with them. they are a little more civilized on the hwy-- they give more at flat ride height, which the reflexes don't do. mine is lifted, so the sensatrak wouldn't work in this application. don't mix sensa's and reflexes.

both are good.

btw - reflexes feel as stiff to me as KYB GR2s. However, the GR2s handled things like speed bumps and potholes better. Like.... Reflex feels like a good truck shock that handles multiple weights but focuses on control more and vehicle dynamics less. GR2s would be better if the vehicle was not subject to hauling different weights around-- was more finely tuned.

I have never used those, but I am definitely a KYB fan from my experiences with replacing struts. Sensa Tracs are a tad too soft for me, how are the Reflexes different? Are they considered a performance shock or?
