The AZ near me has M1 AP 0w20 for $10 for the 5qt. jug on 'Clearance'...however it's just 'dexos' and not d2g2. I'm wondering if Mobil changed the formula at all with the change to d2g2 since it was already a low calcium formula? I think I'll pick up a couple of jugs regardless..Thoughts.

0w20 and 5w30 has always been d1g2 which is the latest LSPI GM Dexos spec.
I believe dexos 2 is the diesel spec.

Are you looking at the logo? It faintly resembles a 2 but it is not.

Likely the same formula. When M1 AP first came out, they legally could not put the Gen2 part of the logo on there until a certain date, which was only a few months away. It has always passed all the Gen2 tests which were finalized back in 2015 actually. Legal store shelf stock had the logo on it I can't remember exactly when.
