I tend to agree with @Gentleman farmerProbably a similar package in Motul 8100 X-Cess Gen2 SP maybe? It used to be P6660 I think.

that looks like the Mobil site to me not a VOAHere it is! I dont have the link anymore only a screenshot
It was supposed to be their PDS not the VOAthat looks like the Mobil site to me not a VOA
Am I on the track with the virgin oxidation being a low 7 this oil now uses ANās instead of esters? And because of that it can no longer be considered a ācleaningā oil, which to me is one of the important highlights this oil brought to the table.
They doā¦ @EllieMae94ās concerns are unfounded. From my limited understanding of ANās & esters, I would say ANs are a more thorough cleaning agent. Nobody on the board has claimed nor shown pics of engines on Redline that had been ācleanedāā¦ but we have seen some evidence of Mobilās oils with ANs & esters doing some cleaning, and obviously HPLās oils doing the same.I thought An's did some Cleaning!
Sure thing. In my limited knowledge, I canāt tell you for sure, but I do know esters have been around for quite awhile, and Mobil made quite a bit of fanfare and whitepapers when they came out with ANs.Thanks guys for clearing that up for me. I was under the impression that esters are a better cleaner than ANās. And if ANās are better at it than esters than this formula is an improvement from an already excellent blend, good news.
0W-40 FS is a euro oilis this the euro version?
0W-40 FS is a euro oil
it refers to the API designation instead
That doesnāt match the current PDS for FS 0W-40 SP here:
If I had to choose, I'd likely go with the Supercar 0w40 as it sits right on the 30/40 grade line with a HT/HS of 3.53. Supercar also has a SA of .8. However this is a fantastic off the shelf choice.
and it seems as it is the same thing.Supercar is also 2x the price over FS.
0w40 FS SP is full saps and Supercar is mid. Supercar is rebranded 0w40 ESP that was tested with GM. Not sure if they changed formulation or kept it the same.and it seems as it is the same thing.
They kept it the same, at least it was at the time of the rebranding. X3 is the different one as I am sure you already know, being the Porsche oil.0w40 FS SP is full saps and Supercar is mid.
