I just got some of the Mobil 1 0w-30, it has the green cap and says "better fuel economy", is anyone using this oil? This stuff must have pretty good cold weather capabilty, any opinions would be appreciated.

I'm using M1 0W-20, so far so good, it's had some pretty good reviews and UOA's. The 0w-30 is better than the M1 5w30 at least in the UOA's I've read through.

I wouldn't hesitate for a second to use M1 0w30.

Very good oil.....in my opinion....better the 5w30.

I've got it in my 2004 Accord and it's doing just fine. Thought I saw an immediate jump in fuel economy, but alas, it was a one tank thing and after a few more tanks it seems to be doing about the same as my last oil in terms of gas mileage.

I have been informed that that oil is only intended for hybrid fuel/electric cars. at least that is what a sales associate for exxon mobil told me

Not according to their website, and that really makes zero sense.

Call them. I bet you that you'll get a different answer.

He is wrong: a bit of info from their website: Mobil 1 0W-30 Advanced Fuel Economy is recommended for all types of modern gasoline engines found in passenger cars, SUVs, vans and light trucks. It provides the superior low temperature protection of a 0W grade while providing the high temperature performance of an SAE 30.

It's working great in my Toyota Sienna.

I'm seeing about a 1 mpg increase.

The engine is a little noisier with the M1. Only negative I see.

Many GM vehicles with a V-6 or 4-cylinder also call for 0w30 if the temperature is going to be below -20F for an extended time.

Love the stuff have it in all my GM cars/truck,no consumption
no noise oil pressure is always right there on the coldest morns....

Sales rep must have confused it with Mobil 1 0W-20. That viscosity is what's recommended to that market segment.

I've been using it for the last 3 oil changes on my Lexus LS.

It's the green cap, advanced fuel economy... almost always available at Wal-Mart too !!!

i used it in my volvo. i short drained it and put GC back in because i was going to Willow Springs and wanted a known good oil in there. but while i ran it i had no complaints.

Irony is no such thing officially marketed under the name "GC" and one needs to chase production sequence numbers for that good "known" oil.
