What will I get if I mix two quarts of peak synthetic 5w-20 with two quarts of Mobil 1 Tdt 5w-40?

Ok to run it in the Saturn?

I think you mean "is it ok to burn in the Saturn?"

It should be fine. I would guess you'll end up somewhere in the 5w30 range, but you can't really figure that out from the weights you're mixing together.

I wouldn't waste the Mobil 1 TD&T on it, honestly... I'd feed it cheap 10w30, and if it burned that, cheap 15w40.

I am sure someone will chime in about what the actual viscosity will be but I usually mix like this and have had no issues at all in my Saturn. I used to have an SL2 and it was not picky about oil so you should be fine. Just do not go too thin as in using more 5W20 than 5W40 just to make sure you do not end up with an oil that is too thin for the 30 wt range that your car requires.

I've only driven it 1500 miles, but no measurable burning yet...I got the 4 quarts of m1 for $6(not worried about cost)...
