Mixing Amsoil

My truck currently has HDD oil in it, but is showing a quart low, would it be ok to add a quart of ASL to it?

If your showing a qrt low i wouldnt be wasting money on Amsoil.

Dont most engines consume at least a little bit of oil especially when you are running an extended OCI? I also would not consider Amsoil a waste of money.
