That Gohner made Nissan OEM filter has an adbv defect I discovered with a post use c&p. I subsequently discovered that others had been posted here, unbeknownst to the posters. The word "here" in red in the OP in the link below* shows the other anecdotes. Based on those findings, 'I' would not call them "excellent quality". Personally, wouldn't use one.Gonher is the OEM on my Nissan filters and they're of excellent quality. I am certain that production quality is a result of the dictates between the manufacturer and the buyer of the finished product....
(Nissan Gohner 15208-65FOE pics deleted, redundant.)

On the topic of "Mighty" oil filters, I have a Mighty "Engine Guard" jobber oil filter here I just removed from a Nissan Rogue. Unlike topic, it is made in the US and is a black can. From the looks, appears to be same as current Super Tech ST and blue can STP 6607. Draining now, will post in future.
As for topic filter, yeah garbage. Thanks for c&p.
Is this directed toward me or Sayjac? I always cut my filters open. For the past five years my 2017 Nissan filters have been flawless.Sir are you going to cut your mighty filter open? Thank You
53, yeah that's plan right now. There's some back story with it as O&F change done at an indie shop. I think some may find those details more interesting than the filter. If I change my mind about it, I'll pm you if that's ok.Sir are you going to cut your mighty filter open? Thank You
