You and CapriRacer know your tire stuff. Yep, saw a BMW owners manual and it had different pressures based on top-speed and loading. Few people actually follow these instructions. I do check it before a trip, and typically add some psi for high temperatures, high loading, and/or high speed. Not to exceed 90% of the tire's own max pressure stamped on the sidewall.
Its also common for air pressure gauges to be out of calibration, so everyone should compare 2 or 3 gauges from time to time!

The Mexican lower tire pressures might be for expected rougher roads in MX, yet its probably just somebody copying the U.S.-style placard on the B-pillar to the Owner's Manual.

You maintain the same pressure regardless of ambient temps.
