Appreciate all the comments. A new experience for us. It's been easy and painless so far. This builder is vertically integrated and carries the expenses until the house is move-in ready and the property changes hands. There are quite a few floor plans and each one has 4 front elevations so the houses don't all look the same. Of course there's the HOA but we've read the rules and are fine with it. We're early in this new section so we'll be dealing with construction around us for 18 months or so after we move in. My commute will get longer but it's an easy drive so no worries. We do a frame walk through with the super next week.
