I run the motorcraft on my escape. It is a $3 filter.

In that price range the Supertech is a $2 filter, and the Orange can is a $4 filter.

Is the supertech a better filter than the motorcraft?

I you could run a Hastings, federated or auto extra, ProTec or others.in the $2-4 range.

I just dont think Motorcraft filters are what "they may have once been"

MC filter once were a good go to filter for the money
But not now
I'm a HUGE Ford guy, but I'm done with MC

Yeah, at $3.97 at the almighty "China mart" they're not worth the risk. Especially when I got some Pro Tec's for like $1.40 online. Could even get WIX for $4

From what I've seen around here a Wally World ST filter has a lot less issues than MC

And that's a crying shame !!

For the FL500s equivalents I think the PF63e is better … I got mine for $4/each in a dozen pack.
Other option is XG10575 for two runs …

Crazy part about all this is
Fram is becoming the King of filters, when they were once viewed as junk.

I gotta admit, your AC DELCO "E CORES" look pretty good. I remember the days when saying the word E CORE was reason to be crucified here
