Off of a 2015 Chevy Suburban, with v-8 engine. Had MC 0w20 oil and this filter in and on. Put M1 0w20AFE and a FRAM ULTRA in and back on. Looks ok to me and the ADBV slices or whatever did NOT go all way thru ADBV. I wouldn't use this filter; I would use a FRAM ULTRA

Yes, sad to report. As said, did NOT go all way thru ADBV but enough b.s. From Puro to tell me: stay far, far away

I'll use my Baldwin, FRAM ULTRAS

Made Dec 15, 2015. Photo shows holes in the center tube, so apparently made before the louver switch over.

this is why i am looking for another quality oil filter for my Fords so i dont have to use Motorcraft filter junk anymore ..Changing to either Fram Ultra XG-2 or Mobil 1

XG2 hands down. Search for some of the XG2 filters that I cut open from my 2010 FX4. I ran a few of them for fifteen thousand miles and more with no issues whatsoever. Bang for the buck the M1 filter does not even come close.

im with you on this one 2015 its just on the MGM there is very little room without my lift...

I like the Fram Ultra XG-2 for a few reasons first its build quality 2nd the mounting threads look much better 3rd the Media on the XG-2 looks a lot nicer and is synthetic. 4th I did not hear of any tears on the ultra. 5th the ultra does not seem to tear the anti drain back valve.
On the other hand the Motorcraft is a little shorter and has larger intake oil holes and is slightly easier to install and i like the wrench that fits into the groves that's about all i like about the Motorcraft.

Filter looks perfectly intact. These really are good filters and every economically priced. Ive been using them in both my Fords for quite a while now.

I stopped being surprised long ago. People were kidding themselves thinking Motorcraft was anything but Tearolator/ripolators in disguise. That's what you get when you have the same quality control yahoo's in charge.

Amirkhat: MC filters "were" good filters, but with this nonsense and them letting quality take a dump; they aren't good in my eyes. adbv with those slits is bad also. M1, FRAM ULTRA or Baldwin for me

I have never seen a problem with MC Fl 910 or the cartridge FL 2017. In Fords I have never had start up clatter with MC filters as well.

I understand, however even my most recent filters have been flawless, even at 10K OCIs.
