I started on a new project at work. I am putting a binder together of quick reference quides or cheat sheets if you will.
We use the Mitchell online guide but it's hard to navigate at times and usually when in a hurry.
So my first reference are the oil life reset procedures for all makes and models that may come through the bay.
The idea is to just grab the binder and find the make or model and follow the reset. Toyotas are so common that it's memorized but Mini's are not.
I would like help in finding even more ideas on what references I may want to add? we have a wheel torque poster on the wall so that's not needed, but maybe how many quarts for common engines. the work order tells us but sometimes it's wrong and things like MB and BMW do not have a dipstick to check with.

You guys probably put bulk 5W30 in those german cars too.

I think aoca has the charts that you need.

Yep, sadly it's a toss up between the sales guys pushing for a sale and the owners not knowing anything and just rely cheap anyway....
Thanks for the link!

Cheat sheets are good for things that aren't likely to change, like resttting OLMs etc, how to get in when the keys are locked in cars etc.

Things like lube recommendations, that change with time aren't the best cheat sheet material.

Pass the idea around to others at work. Typically I seem to be the only one that cares.....Guess I'll keep the binder I create to myself.
