M1 or EDGE 0w40

car51, I have Castrol 0W40 and a M1 oil filter on deck for my next OCI. I could have used PP EURO 0W40 again, but asked in a post on here about the Castrol and received great feedback.

Why would you run 0w40 just in the summer? It would be fine year round in most places on the planet.

That would be a very short run as summer generally lasts from 3-6 weeks around here.

If your owner’s manual recommends 0w20, a true Bitgoer will use 5w50.
