Then why bother posting in the engine additive's section? Just Trollin'?

Sure seems that way.

Just so we can get some hard evidence on this, I plan on doing a UOA on my 2001 Volvo at the next oil change. I am running LM 10W-40 MOS2 anti-friction formula. So far I have been more than happy with the results; it runs smoother, revs faster, and behaves better than it did with the previous fill of Mobil 1 0W-40. As with anything, YMMV!

I added some of the anti-friction additive to a Cummins 8.3L in our front end loader. Looking to take an oil sample soon.

Hang on, mate. You come in, call something you haven't even tried a 'silly' additive, without even knowing what it is, then start call people names? That's not how we roll on BITOG.

I have no problem believing that a well maintained engine can easily go to 250K miles and beyond. I drove 83 Honda for 265K miles and personally drove to the charitable organization to take the tax deduction. It was still on the original clutch.

Getting 575K miles on original engine is quite an achievement though. More information about your vehicle, your oil change interval, type of oil and filter would add light to this discussion.

Engines go for hundreds of thousands of miles all the time with just plain oil.
But wear, performance, and life may be increased with additives.
remember that there are additives in oil.

I really am not a big fan of oil additives nowadays.
But I did try the Lubro Moly - it is not a strange foreign substance.
So far, so good. It seems backwards to me, but the greatest smoothness increase is at running/cruising speeds.

I use this and definitely quiet down the motor better than the organic moly i used before. maybe due to nano size particle.
The one that impressed me is the cold start after i park my car for 8 days, the engine definitely start quiet until it warm up.
My last startup after 1 week parking before was nasty, with loud engine noise for the first 2-3 seconds.
All using the same Toyota filter and SSO.

I like Lubro-Moly additive. Yesterday, I drove the Camry after a while. It certainly feels quite peppier and quieter than what I remember. I do hate the dark color it imparts to the oil. I added just a tiny bit to my lawn mower after the oil change. It turned the fresh oil into dark used oil in couple of seconds :-(

Camry got Lubro-Moly MOS additive in the oil and the Lubro-Moly valve cleaner in the gas tank and I certainly feel difference in the engine behavior and for better.

I used Lubro-Moly injector cleaner and valve cleaner in my other car but I did not feel any perceptible difference.

2 ounces sounds like a lot, unless you've got one big-[censored] lawn mower.

The engine is a 6.5 HP Briggs. I had smoking issues on start up with it last year. I mixed Mos2 I use for coating bullets into some oil and it stopped it for an entire season. Over the winter I bought LM and decided to try it in the mower this year. I added ~ 2 ounces, smoking stopped once again. I can pump out some of the mix in the mower and dillute it with oil, but it seems to be working just fine. Time will tell.

I have used the stuff a few times over the last few years and it is excellent in my opinion. I have just finished a run of Castrol Edge 10w60 and now have a 300ml of LiquiMoly Mos2 added to Havoline Delo 400 Multigrade. Will run for 7500km.

+1 The dose I put in the mower was a stronger. It was 2 ounces added to about 20 ounces of oil. No problems to report, in fact the start up smoke has once again stopped. This is exactly the same oil I've used for the last 2 years, only a fresh fill.

I recently did an oil change where pennzoil high milage was installed instead of my normal fill of valvoline synpower + Lubromoly MoS2 (winter blend).

I didn't like the way the engine was handling on this new mix, but decided to do nothing since it was mentioned here that you only need use the MoS2 every other oil change. After about 500 miles of driving I got sick of the rougher operation , and decided to add in 300ml of Lubro-moly. Now the engine is quieter and closer to what I like.

Sometimes, if it works don't fix it and it applies to your case. If Valvoline Synpower + Lubromoly MoS2 works good for you then I would keep the same mix.

My current fill is 6.5 quarts Castrol GC with 10 oz lubro moly and 4oz of GM EOS. Will have a sample check by blackstone at 3000 miles. Vehicle is a Modified 2003 Cobra.
