No blame being assessed here. The pump seems to be a high quality product. Regarding the LC/FP, at full strength, there are known incompatibilities with certain plastics, which is why HDPE #2 bottles recommended for storage.

I think he's just pointing out not to use that pump type...as the seals are pwn3d in the face by the FP.

This product is advertise to pump 'transmission fluid and any oil'... appears to be a nice tool to have when dispensing small amounts of fluid, just have to be careful to pump oil only.

Fuel Power will soften and quickly degrade the Amsoil P.I. bottles. You must use HDPE 2.

Bill, HEV is correct. I already did the FP in the PI bottles and it makes the plastic real soft.
Looking for ways to more easily dispense my Fuel Power into my little Lucas 5 ounce bottles, I turned to the "New" Amsoil Hand Pump. When I received the pump in the mail, I took a quick look at it (specifically at its plastics) to ensure compatibility. I thought, "great, this will work." So, I installed it into my 1 gallon bottle and proceeded to fill my several empty baby lucas bottles. I did work great. I filled several bottles without a drip! This was two weeks ago.
Fast forward two weeks to last night, I went to refill a couple bottles. Pump, pump, pump. Hmmm. No fuel power came out of the spicet, and there was no resistance in the pump. Hmmm. So, I removed the pump from the gallon jug, then disassembled it. Upon a much closer inspection, I realized the pump had a nitrile-type seal, and it had softened and torn away from the pump's plunger/piston.
Lesson Learned: don’t use this pump to pump Fuel Power/Lube Control.
Note to LCD: Finding a compatible hand pump for your gallon jug would be a nice complement to your dispensing options.

The 5 oz. Lucas UCL bottles work well for this purpose. I made my own measurement lines using a measuring cup.
