Loving gas prices right now!

Cheapest for me was LPG back around 1989, when I was getting paid two cents per litre to take it. Pump price was 4.9 cents per litre, and the included tax was 7 cents per litre, refundable to Saskatchewan residents. So, i was getting paid 2.1 cents per litre to drive.

Paid $2.15 a gallon Sunday night, SE WI. A little closer to home is $2.39 a gallon, for whatever reason. Apparently closer to the WI-IL border some station had 87 octane for $1.99 a gallon.

$2.149 here.

Yes seasonal volatility specs exist here, and in Mexico. Maybe not in Hawaii, never blended gasoline destined for our 50th state.

Filled up for $1.839 / gal for 87 E10 at the new Quik Trip in my area last night, prep for going deer hunting this afternoon.

Legislated boutique fuel requirements (can you spell CARB? as one example) plus taxes. Anything higher than Venezuela's subsidized prices are "gouging" for you grampi.

When prices everywhere else in the country are just under, or just over $2, CA's prices are gouging...

Yes and part of that is due to the California regulations that require blenders to make one specific blend for California. No other state has such tight regulations.

WA is not much better.

"Gouging" resulting from their own laws grampi, just as Venezuela is subsidized by its own laws. Neither has positive effects in the real world pricing versus an open market.

Fascinating how you selectively edited that out of my prior post when you used the "Quote" feature to make your most recent post grampi. Care to explain why?

True indeed Nygotha. Their stupid laws make their circumstances much different then many other places in the lower 48.

And how do their laws help the regular everyday people by paying so much more for gas and electricity?? It doesn't.

Just up on the corner the Shell regular is $3.57. People talking about breaking $2 a gallon is just a dream here.

You realise some areas of the state require a CARB blend right?

Not too shabby. In my area though it's $3.09.... but it's always higher in my area vs Richmond or my hometown.

Nothing was edited out of that post. What are you talking about?

I just checked that same location for 93 and it's $3.77.

I can get Kroger for less so that's where I go.
