Well,

I just got back from my little dealer get together with the AMSOIL filter guy tonight and I have to say that I am totally impressed with what is going to be happening in the next few months.

I will just list a few interesting points for now.

New filtration Website http://www.amsoil.com/filtration/

The new EaBP Bypass filters are now pleated with a Synthetic over high resistance syntheic blend media. 98.7% @ 2um. 39% efficiency with soot
Many new applications coming in the Ea line. Including universal air filters for cold air intakes and such.

New Motorcycle Ea air and oil filters in the next couple months. All MC filters will be fluted unlike the SMF filters. Will also be using the same chrome plater as Harley to improve quality.

New ByPass system that will make installing a bypass on a Cummins, Duramax, or Powerstroke as easy as changing your oil filter. The Powerstroke system is really nice billet.

New cross ref guides coming out soon and even a vintage book for filters.

A lot of real nice stuff on the way this year. Don't worry I had this stuff in my hands so I know it is coming. Most is in production or in stock now. My customers are going to be happy.

Please explain your comments regarding "....new bypass system that will make installing a bypass on a Cummins, Duramax, or Powerstroke as easy as changing your oil filter."

Are these systems different than existing bypass systems currently available from Amsoil?

Thanks.....

No commentary on the small orifice size in the BMK-13 for high flow applications like the Ford PS Diesels? I didn't think so.

Our show is in Seattle next month. I'll probably skip it.

Huh? For starters, the BMK13 is not the Ford package--the BMK16 is.
Have a friend who has been running Ford vans in commuter service for many years now. All have had bypass filters installed. He had to take one off the road after some 917,000 miles because the body was leaning so badly no one would drive it. Engine and transmission still running strong.

My understanding is that the internal openings are considerably smaller than the opening for the oil filter base itself, and that there is no problem with flow.

Any new 5w-20 oil products?

This was a filters only meeting.

Same restrictive dual BK-209.

I have nothing against stand alone single or double by-pass filters, and I certainly have nothing against the new EaBP filters. It's just the BK-209 mount simply does NOT flow enough oil for big oil moving engines. Too restrictive!

In this case the best product is going to be the stand alone bypass IMO. Especially with the new Powerstrokes. There will be a kit in which you get the supply oil from the filter cap and the filtered oil goes to the fill cap. No need for a dual bypass for this application as any change in mounting position will almost always make changing the filter more difficult.
