My current setup is a Motorola SB6121 connected to a TP-Link Archer C7. It has been dead reliable. Has anyone else received this letter/upgraded and are getting way more than what they pay for? It doesn't make sense to buy a faster plan, but if simply upgrading the modem will increase speeds I'm tempted. Most of the hardware I use is either connected thru gigabit Ethernet or 802.11ac.

DON'T GET ANY MODEM WITH THE PUMA CHIPSET. Puma 6 seriously flawed and Puma 5 and 7 have part of the 6's weakness.

Get a modem with the Broadcom chipset. I'd recommend TP-Link or Zoom Telephonics. For > 100Mbps consider TP-Link 7620 or Zoom 5370. If you do not believe me about the PUMA chipset just speak with any cable co network tech off the record. Or research online "Puma 6 chipset." Here's something to get you started:

Just thought I'd post a quick update. I haven't made any changes (same plan/modem) and now I'm regularly seeing 110-120Mbps down!

Thanks for the heads up on the puma chipset modems.
