Why do people believe this? I'm so tired of hearing how the wealthy should be paying a higher proportion (percentage wise) than every other "working joe" in the country. If your daughter spent the time, energy and money to become a heart surgeon, why should she pay taxes at a higher rate than the guy at Burger King? Is she any more or less of an American? Why does she have to pay more for the government's operations, which we all benefit from (I suppose) than the Burger King worker? There should be a fair tax....everyone pays the same percentage. I actually agree with you but I hope that those who voted for 'change' are happy paying more taxes. It does seem that the left has a 'do as I say not as I do' attitude when it comes to paying taxes. Speaking of taxes, i read that 34% of Americans pay no income tax at all. Under BHO many of them (non-taxpayers) will get money back from the goverment. Go figure.
