Kirkland oil sale

Aug. 25 thru Sept21st. $6-8 off a case. Limit 5
Would you know if the Kirland Synthetic oil 5 quart jugs have the spout protection: Plastic/paper combination that you have to remove with an exacto knife before you pour the oil? Thanks.

Ha ha, critics abound.

Costco is the BEST! I'm surprised they are having another sale, since the last wasn't that long back. No doubt, it relates to Warren offering up good deals to the Costco buyers. I wonder if the new stuff will be AP SQ, GF-7?

I was in our store (Charlotte, NC) last week. They were SP.

They're opening a new one 2 miles from my house (October 30th, 2025 is opening day.) Hoping the new stock is SQ.

Maybe that's one reason for the upcoming sale. Moving out AP.

They do seem to be more often.

Low oil prices may have something to do with it as well.
Costco can get a deal on their side so they offer it up like this. Similar to when pork wholesale prices drop Mcdonalds offers the Mcrib.

$15 for a 5 qt jug of Kirkland "Euro" spec oil would be a deal, if Costco decided to offer this flavor. Otherwise not so much. I can generally get name brand D1G3 oil (Mobil1, Pennzoil, Castrol) for close to $10-12 a jug at the right time with clearance, roll-back, +rebate - when I can stock up for 1-2 years supply. Still have the Euro Total oil from AAP from a couple of years ago at average of $8/jug.
Pretty good sale if you don't want to both with rebates, waiting for sale etc.
