I picked up some Kendall GT-1 semi-synthetic at Big Lots for $1.59, I grabbed about 30. I've been using it in my wife's 2000 Grand Am (2.4L) for a couple of months with a Purolator Pure One filter. So far so good. I believe it's made by Conoco.
Not where I live. But WalMart caries another ConocoPhillips stablemate - TropArtic. Same oil, different label. Pig Lots occaisionally carries 76 - another ConocoPhillips brand. All of these are Group III/Group II blends.
Yep, Big Lots had the PC made Kendall for some time, and it is sitting on the shelf at AZ in 10-30, and Nitro 60 flavors. The Nitro 60 is apparently a big seller for the Harley V Twin crowd. I can only guess that's because it makes a smaller puddle under the bike when parked.
The only place I've seen it in Canada so far is at Stinson gas stations, and its pretty reasonable priced - about $3.50 CAD a quart, which is a lot less than the $4-5 charged for most blends....
I used to live less than 2 miles from Kendall's HQ (in Houston). Haven't seen any Kendall GT1 full synthetic 5w-40 here in Houston. I would like to see VOA of this oil, its specs look good to me for my BMW.

I emailed Kendall and asked where I could buy it, they sent me a couple of distributors in the Houston area. I saw sign that Firestone was offering Kendall synthetic oil changes a while back.
Anyone seen any of the GT1 full synthetic 5w-40?
I remember the GT1 being Green in color back in the early 70's.
