This oil filter was in use August 8 to October 15, filtering 4 qt of old stock Castrol Edge 10w30 (it came in a gallon jug) and about 0.5 qt of Delvac 15w40. This OCI saw a 4200 miles Alberta roadtrip and two 550 mile trips to the mountains with the balance being rush hour freeway commute.
With the filter being about 7 years old, the gasket has lost it's elasticity. Not crazy about the pleat spacing, but the media didn't tear (as expected). It's bigger brother HP-2009 was a better filter.

O pleat spacing not bad, a little wider at seam pleat area but no biggie. Overall I'd say looks very good ~8k miles. And now back to made in the US by Champ Labs. Thanks for c&p.

Edit. Just noticed date here appears to be made 2011. However a more recent production (this year) K&N posted here recently, shows a K&N back to Champ Labs made like topic.

Agreed!

It looks really decent. A threaded end bypass valve built into the end cap and assuming they set the bpv pressure about to the OEM spec and it would be excellent!

Thanks for the replies!
Cellulose purolators were never beefy filters. IMO pre-tear Puros are a myth; the only Puro tears I had were PL14476 around 2009-2010.

Held up well, the hex nut always scared me on those I heard and seen where the weld blew out.

Built for a tank. Heavy duty materials.
Got one on my Chevy Colorado currently. Will run it 11-12K..... till April 1st.
Nice quiet cold startups again. No more AC Delco PF61s...... garbage.
