John Deere electric turf equipment

John Deere will soon be in the electric turf equipment business starting with an electric zero turn mower. Not sure if the first one is out already. Enjoy.

Looks like the Cub Cadet stuff is already out.

I'm sure it will work very well. And be stupidly expensive. But JD stuff is never cheap. Typically, electric lawn equipment is about double the price of comparable gas powered units. The good news is that residential lawns are generally not huge, and battery equipment can finish a modest sized job without trouble.

I'm sure they are much quieter than their gas counterparts.

I've seen Ego zero turns parked out front at Lowes and Greenworks zero turns at Tractor Supply.

My neighbor has an electric push type mower and I haven't talked to him about how it works but it is nice and quiet.
