I don't think he would have made a poor President. He was progressive (not the socialist kind). He WAS the first politician to remark on the upcoming information revolution with his nebulous (only because no one knew of the RADICAL implications) referrences to the "information super highway". I don't think that it was HIS ..but you've got to keep in mind that who is in office tends to effect many things in the terms of technology. I, during the brief life of the company (AIM Energy), marketed revolutionary harmonic mitigation devices (they injected the missing harmonics that our rectified devices extract). The VP of marketing was unsure of how successful we would be if Republicans were in office since they would not support standards that regulated energy "pollution controls". I imagine that it's the same with things like Propane valve evolutions. The Repubicans would say "let them blow themselves up! They knew the risks before buying a grill!" (j/k) while the Dems woud support this form of "pork-rider". (actually ..I think that the evolution in propane tank valve technology is to prevent the tanks from being used in terrorism. I saw on video clip from South America. A guy opened the valve of a propane tank ..threw it into a barrel (1/2 barrell like you put a keg in), tilted it like a motar, threw in a match and the thing took off and landed on a roof spinning around spreading fire. I found it ingenious.)
