110 is doubtful. The Lima 2.3 started out with 88 hp and IIRC ended up under 100. They made a 2.5 that was a hair over 100 though. The good thing is they are tough as nails and had good torque #'s. But the HP was laughable. I know as I had one in my 85 Mustang LX. The throttle had 2 positions - Floor and idle.

When it got a MAF sensor and other more advanced engine management, HP broke 100. The 2.5L actually put out around 120 towards the end of the run around 2000/2001. I had a 2001 2.5L manual, and it could do a nice peel out if I dumped the clutch. It was actually kind of a fun truck and got up to 28 MPG on the highway, but I'll take my V6s.

Get it, change ATF fluid/filter, drive. If all else fails, I had an '80s Ranger with a bone stock Chevy 305/TH400 that really scooted. Rangers even use the same U-joint as Chevy cars making the conversion that much easier.

Surprised that it got that high as I know they tried some unique things on it (dual plugs) to get it up there. For some reason it didn't do so well int the HP race but it had decent torque. And it was tough as nails and very simple to work on.

I found out you could peel in the Mustang too by dumping the clutch. Aaah the good old days of carbs and 4 speed sticks.
