Just bought 10 cases of M-1 at Costco for $24.00 a case. I will be submitting 10 M-1 rebates which will net me $100.00. Rebates are 2 per household so I am using 4 friend's addresses. (I'm a sly old dog) Oil will wind up costing me $2.33 a qt. The Wal-Mart 5 qt jug at $22.00 is $2.40 a qt. Anyone ever bought it for less than this? Just curious!

Actually, given the extra you spent on sales tax and postage, the WalMart deal is better.

Did you use the Costco $10 coupon good until May 31st? That Costco coupon is a "manufacturer" coupon (which means EM) if you read the fine print, and cannot be combined with any other manufacturer coupon (or MIR). This is just my interpretation, and I could be wrong about it, but beware.

Who cares? Cases can be stacked...5 quart jugs cannot.

Enjoy your stash for the $0.07 in savings.

Any BITOG'r without a well stocked shrine ..well, they just need to get one

I hope he didn't use the same credit card for all the purchases with the number on the receipts, or hope he doesn't have the same Costco member number on all the receipts. Plus, not sure if the MIR is valid if he also used a $10 Costco coupon.

But the jugs are more convenient for oil recycling.

Yes, when PepBoys had Mobil 1 on sale for $3.99 I used the BOGO free coupon and I got it for $1.99 per quart.

Are you using the same name on all the rebates ?

John-Now I'm depressed. You are right. I could have saved a few cents.
Mark-Paid cash. Have 5 receipts. Purchased 2 cases at a time. I have done this before with Costco and Mobil coupons. No problemo!
Gary-Now I'm not depressed. I will go and get a cold beer to drink as I neatly stack my cases. Something that could not have been done with jugs. I like an optimist!

does using an AutoZone $20 Reward count? I used my $20 off reward plus a $10 MIR to buy my 5qts of M1 0w40 and a Bosch filter for a grand total of $2.38(sales tax)....which makes it $0.47 a quart with a free filter

Not if your car(s) take less than five quarts. Then, jugs are a pain in the butt...

I'm not like you obsessed oil people. I'm quite normal... just a few jugs in case of rainy weather
