No, I think it was a great idea, just before it's time. Like the Newton. Speaking of which, has anyone tried a Neuton mower?

It was intended as a tongue-in-cheek play on the ol' "chew bubblegum and walk at the same time" joke.

I considered a cordless replacement, but decided due to the property layout that the extra weight was too much of a penalty. Of the available cordless models, I'd judge the Black & Decker and Craftsman products as the top choices. They work well and are a better value than their competition. Still pricey compared to their corded brethren, though.
 
hmmm, just figured since the neuton was made by DR it might be okay. They've been slow sellers and have dropped about $100 in price...
