I found a seller on Ebay who "drop ships" items sold by Amazon after marking them up by about 300%. To their credit, it had to have taken some time to find these deals on Amazon and then create auction listings. It's just shady to conduct business like that.
An actual example of what they are doing, google and see for yourself:
Gibson 5020 dual exhaust system sells for $608 at Jegs (approximate retail price)
Amazon has it for $105.24, for whatever reason and a killer deal
Shady seller on Ebay has it listed at $292.99
If shady seller gets a sale, they'll buy it off amazon for $105.24 and have it sent to the buyer off ebay.
How is that shady? People who don't price shop deserve to pay more.
Well, it's technically against Ebay's terms and conditions to list items you dont have possession of. Except in cases where you're an authorized drop shipper and have an agreement with the manufacturer. The seller in question has over 700 items listed and 90% appear to be markups of items Amazon is selling. If you read the description on their listings it states: "All orders are shipped out from our main location in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania." So they're clearly lying.
But I get what you're saying about shopping around. That's how I discovered that seller. I found a great deal they had, found it on Amazon for cheaper, bought it from Amazon, and 2 hours later the Ebay listing had been removed.
