I have a filter I think is wix. All the info on the filter is:
H3 (on inside plate)
1080724 (small print on top of filter)
011508c3 (medium print on top of filter)

A spot of red spray paint visible inside the filter

Any ideas? The filter is for chevy v8 with 13/16 fastener.

How about some pictures, people here are very good at figuring out filter ID's by the look of the end plate.

This is the filter:

if it's a white casing the it's Wix's pro-tec filter. Still good quality, just less burst pressure rating, really nothing to be concerned about.

Found out that a low cost auto parts store here are relabeling wix filters and after looking closely the wix p/n is stamped on all filters. All priced at ca. 1/3 of other oem and brand filters: For my 5.0 marine V8: 59 krona for the rebranded Wix, FRAM equivalent 159 krona. Same for the Jeep filters...
I *think* I will go with the unlabeled WIX...

Pete told us how to read this at one time.

1-08-07-24 or maybe 10(?) 8 (year) 07 (month) 24 (day)

01:15:08 (the time/shift that the filter passed that point in the process) C (either location or line) 3 (location or line)

It's something like that.
