I took a new container of the stuff out of my basement (so it was warmish) and did part of my Jeep. It still had the foil seal. Getting some on the provided applicator was like rubbing a bar of ivory soap. Is there something wrong with it? Getting it on the applicator was the hardest part, applying it to the Jeep and buffing it off was a snap.

I have not waxed any vehicle in awhile and wanted something that would last pretty long and not leave marks on all the plastic/vinyl trim on my Jeep, and mine has a lot.

Should I return it for another can?

sounds like it, i use the same stuff. it goes on and off like butter. no streaks or anything.

I think one needs to wet the application pad first. It took me awhile to find what the problem was. Maybe I should have read the directions first?

I tried wetting the applicator pad. It makes it a little easier, but I still feels its like rubbing a bar of soap trying to get some was on the applicator pad.

But the results are pretty good. Hopefully it will last through most of the winter.
