So you think I am only talking about my posts? LOLGebo, the words you used in your post are very telling so please take what I'm going to say in the spirit of 'tough love' and a genuine, sincere desire to help:
This is just a message board on the Internet. If you have a hard time interacting with people here when the conversation doesn't go your way, and it makes you feel the way you state above, then you need to do some self-reflecting and figure out why since you're ALLOWING it to happen. You need to grow a pair and don't be such an insecure doormat. Lose the victim mentality and its associated drama. Get a thicker skin and learn how to let stuff roll off your back because you'll never change how anonymous people act online.
And stop caring about it so much. Does it really matter what a few random idiots on the Internet say when it's obvious all they're looking for is a reaction? You're giving it to them! Stop it! I'm not saying to fire it right back because that's obviously not your style, but learn how to roll your eyes, shake your head and laugh it off. It shouldn't ruin your day like it obviously does.
Know the old advice, 'the best way to relax when talking in front of large groups is to imagine them all naked'? Well the next time someone posts something just to get under your skin, just imagine they're an unhappy middle-aged unemployed troll living their their mom's basement looking for company in their misery. Works wonders.
All that said, you may want to revisit some of the things you got flak for and figure out if your 'critics' had valid points, too. Just saying.
I agree. Opinions are based on correct and incorrect facts, bias, and feelings. Thus, opinions are most certainly flawed and can be wrong. The problem arises when opinions parade as statements of facts or when facts are dismissed as opinions.Counter-point: Yes, opinions can be wrong. There are objective things and subjective things in life.
Pretty much.I agree. Opinions are based on correct and incorrect facts, bias, and feelings. Thus, opinions are most certainly flawed and can be wrong. The problem arises when opinions parade as statements of facts or when facts are dismissed as opinions.
Well, my advice was for you and anyone else who feels like they are being picked on here or on any other message board. So you think I am only talking about my posts? LOL
I'm trying your imagery idea. You do look kinda funny naked.![]()
I didn't even know there was a "Reaction Score"...
Nevermind me, I'll just be out in the garage...
That depends on what you are eating. What are you eating is a junk post and garbage thread anyway
I'm not saying to lock or smoke it or I would do it. I'm saying the Mods/Admin can ... and have many times in the past. They run the board like they want to, regardless of who's posting what - I've been here long enough to know that. This is a privately ran chat board, not ran by the US Gov't ...But where will we house the uneducated amongst us???
Whatever happened to if it doesn't interest you why go there and read it. Seriously Zee why should " off topic" zones bother anyone?
Should we just sterilize this place to the point that only a handful of people can post. From what I know you are a stand up member and are always willing to help others and that is a given and not in question at all. Can't we just live and let live?
I wonder why we entice crowds to come join us if we do not want them?
To me the original posters concerns are valid and all of this other stuff is nonsense but actually we see that this place has become an exclusive club not open to everyone. I highly doubt the owner wants that as the categories they provide are there to make this a place for everyone.
Men will be boys and yes things get carried away but i think this place is balanced and great except for the bullying and intolerance we occasionally see. Why am I telling you this??? You tell me...lol
Regarding the reaction scores, I'm ambivalent about them. Not every post warrants an actual reply. But I can give yet another chicken filet another like without wasting space. There are trappings. There is of course reaction score whoring going on. Maybe the solution is to let posters opt out of giving and receiving reaction scores.

It was sweating horsepower....I can tell you, if an old Corvette does not leak that just means there is no oil in it.
Don't ask me how I know...
Check everyone's reaction score today. The like system is a whole other subject, there were those of us who predicted how that would go.
Yeah the fat lady has sung...lolI'm not saying to lock or smoke it or I would do it. I'm saying the Mods/Admin can ... and have many times in the past. Good plan. How can you tell who liked a post without the reaction score? Who takes the honors for the highest reaction score is as useless as honors for the highest post count. As it stands the reaction score is available. Use it, don't use it, it's all good.Or maybe just get rid of this reaction score, or letting anyone be in "first place"? I never heard of this before this thread. Perhaps we simply can benefit from seeing who liked a post, without making it into a race.
Talked with the crew chief during a tour of a B-17 some years ago. It may have been "Sentimental Journey", which was here in '95 for a fund-raiser for the aviation museum.I can tell you, if an old Corvette does not leak that just means there is no oil in it.
Don't ask me how I know...
What if I am employed and living in my wife's basement...Well the next time someone posts something just to get under your skin, just imagine they're an unhappy middle-aged unemployed troll living their their mom's basement looking for company in their misery. Works wonders.
I just figured out how to check it. I don't care about the score, but the react is nice because it is quick and easy if I don't need to reply.Check everyone's reaction score today.![]()

Action taken. No more total "reaction score" count. You can still "like" - which we think has value (beats a second post that simply says "+1") but there is not a displayed total. No competition.Regarding the reaction scores, I'm ambivalent about them. Not every post warrants an actual reply. But I can give yet another chicken filet another like without wasting space. I didn't know the reaction score feature could be removed while reactions were still allowed. In my opinion that's the best solution.Action taken. No more total "reaction score" count.
