...thanks BITOG!

All week, I've be dying to put the SynPower I scored for $1.35 a quart in my car, and I picked today as the only time I had to do it (kids sports and what not). Problem was, the tornado sirens went off 15 minutes into the oil change!

I finished it anyway, after checking the TV. Thanks BITOG for the fever, as any normal person would have taken cover, but I just pulled the filter like nothing was going on, while the sirens were blaring.

Pure dedication or pure stupidity, lol. I don't know which?

I would have run in to get my camcorder, lol!!! People are making a decent buck getting video of tornado's these days.
OK, now that's stupidity, lol!

Can never be TOO prepared.

Fleeing a tornado is THE definition of a cold start-full throttle situation.

Must be around Wilmington, I've been watching it all more northwest toward me. Not tornado alley.

Now that's dedication. Hats off and drink a beer for jeepman. You have set a new standard of excellence and dedication for BITOG members to strive for and live by.

Now thats what I like. Dont let a little tornado get in the way. Time to change it, its time to change it

Wind always seems to pick up when I have the drain plug out and the pan underneath. But nothing like this.

Changing oil during an earthquake is a scary experience too. Luckily I changed the oil from the E430 using an oil extractor so that nothing happened. If it was another car on the jack stand, then it may be another story.

I guess this is a bit more intrepid than me. All I did was impatiently wait for 5K miles to change one of my cars to GC, and for my Silverado to hit 1 yr.

I'm a recovering 3K type.

A decent effort. Now see if you can manage in a tsunami

YES-YES!! This is the essence of the Tao of BITOG.

If you are going to go out.......go out doing something you enjoy.

Besides.......like mom worried about us dying in a car wreck in dirty underwear.......we worry about our cars dying with dirty oil in the crankcase!!!!!!

I live on the Texas Gulf coast. I have been hit by 3 hurricanes in the last 5 years (Rita, Humberto, and Ike). Believe me, when you are in the midst of continuous 120 MPH winds, your house is shaking, trees are crashing, and roofing is being ripped off, you simply don't give a flyin' flip about oil!

You'll never reach BITOG ZEN with that attitude.

A BITOG'R must have the deepest commitment. The most serious mind. Lubricious beings are we. Not this crude gray matter!

Gary, you are hereby formally invited to ride out the next Cat 3 Hurricane with me here at my home on the coast, whenever it may come about. Bring your oil, filter, and tools. I'll have great fun watching the show!
