Just walked into my local oriellys today. And they had on a table various oils. Mobil 5w40 turbo diesel,valvoline maxlife synthetic 10w30, lucas synthetic, castrol gtx, mobil clean5000, other name brands in all kinds of grades for a 1.99qt. I don't know but I'm tempted to clean them out! Enough oil for three years of oil changes for the family

I was in Oreilly`s yesterday and they had a display of Valvoline Durablend with a batch date of 1999! The bottles were leaky and the labels were so faded you could barely read them. That`s probably the oldest oil I`ve seen still for sale.
I'd take some of that M1 and Maxlife

They had a bunch of valvoline vr1 20w50 and straight 50 too and these were all new bottles

They clearing out stock, ahead of the new oils for GF-5 spec?
I went back and bought 10 qts of maxlife synthetic. 6 qts of mobil 1 truck and suv 5w30 syn (32bucks and change). They have havoline 10w30 and quaker state syn there about ten qts of each.
I had it today too when, after reading on how the new API SN oils have started showing up (and officially launched today as well I believe), I stopped into WM to see if there were any new deals on (I also needed to get some brake fluid anyway).
Nothing much new, PYB was on display with what looked like a fresh stock of new bottles for $11.88, a buck more than its previous rolled back price and $2 more than I what picked a couple jugs of QS GB up for on my visit a few weeks ago. PP was still on its $19.88 rollback, but I have a couple unopened jugs already of that too, plus a jug of Syntec (over 20 quarts of various unopened oils on hand).
One new thing was a price change on Mobil 1. Its now $29.88, only a buck more than Syntec when its on rollback and GC when they have it. At that price its now fit my bang for the buck criteria as the only thing priced better was the rolled back PP. Anyway I held off buying anything today. Can Tire's new sale is due to start tomorrow and maybe there might be some deals there.
I have enough oil on hand now that it takes a really good rollback or sale to motivate me to buy now. So I left with just the brake fluid.
