Jeeps have notoriously bad gauges. If it is an electrical gauge, I wouldn't trust it one bit.

I suspected my Jeep had a bad gauge, and was worried because it didn't move much and was reading extremely low after warmed up on a good hot day. So, I had my mechanic install a mechanical oil pressure gauge. Turns out, sure enough--my gauge was wrong.

Unfortunately, it was reading far too high. After being warmed up on a nice hot day, I had ZERO oil pressure at idle! Yikes!

Still $18 for 5 quarts of Q Horsepower synthetic at my Wal-Mart in Owasso, OK

$5.77 for a single quart.

The electrical systems on Jaguars were total ____.

There is no way in [censored] that 5w30 is going to give you 75 psi and 20w-50 is going to give you less, not happening, no way.

Guage or sending unit is faulty.

Since the OP is at his limit on PM messages (you need to clear them out) Please take the photo out of the sig line for respect for people not on fast internet and our mobile users.

Thank you, Bill

My oil pressure gauge on my 86 Monte Carlo SS says 10 pounds while going down the road. A faulty sender unit was to blame, but since I hated the stock 190hp "high output" 305 in it, it gave me an excuse to put a 383 stroker in it with a better carb.
