I noticed some autoshops sell this as a separate product,i.e. labeled as 'manual clutch fluid'.

I've always used just a premium brake fluid in my Tacoma clutch. I was wondering if thus clutch fluid has special additives to increase the lubricity in a clutch, which seems to have longer throw than than a brake pedal and the clutch is probably pressed a lot more often that a brake.

Or is this common brake fluid with an expensive label?

I have seen it at the local autoparts stores. I glanced at it, laughed(marketing dept's working OT again), and just grabbed some DOT4 for my clutch.

If your vehicles use brake fluid for the clutch, by all means just stick with that DOT certified brake fluid.

Notice any certifications for clutch fluid? Seems like an easy way to pawn of brake fluid that didn't make the DOT grade!
