How/Where do you keep/stash your oil?

I keep mine in the cellar which is in the basement.

Ah yes, Point Beer, used to drink that stuff in 1982 when I was at forestry camp on Golden Lake about 15 miles west of Iron River, Michigan. Good stuff and low cost.

I keep mine in the Garage on a shelf on the wall. The day before I do the change I bring it inside to warm up so it pours a bit quicker. (Winter only) :)

I keep mine in the garage. But I keep 1 gallon of Tection Extra in the trunk of my SAAB just in case. I'm not sure "in case" of what, though.

I also keep a bottle of Auto-RX on top of my workstation in my office. Sort of a conversation piece since I don't have trophy bucks on the wall like most of my co-workers.

My tiny stash, compared to you guys

, is in my heated garage. I still have Shaeffer's 700 Blend 5w30 SL which I use with a "clean conscience" in the year 2008 in my 1996 Contour

I keep a single bottle of top off oil in each cars trunk, being that I run all different types of weights/brands. I don't keep a "stash" per se, but what I have left over sits in my shed on the floor next to the washing machine. Or under the front porch. Or in the back yard, or utility closet. Or the bathroom closet.

Yep, it pretty much sits all over the house. Right now I have a jug of Formula Shell sitting on the kitchen floor.

Oil, ATF, gear oil, and grease tubes, all on the shelf in the basement.

I hate Point Beer. I live 30 miles from the brewery, and I would not drink that stuff if they gave it to me for free.

I keep mine behind the cat's litterbox.

Seriously -- if you want to call 5-10 quarts a stash -- it's in the closet in the kitchen. All my car-oriented stuff is in there.

In a closet located in my pouting room (TV room). I put it on the floor, I thought the temperture would be more constant there.
BTW, 66 quarts of Pennzoil Platium 5w30 Plus 12 quarts of mobil 1 10W-30.

Is that true?

I keep it in my pole barn on the shelf and work bench, my wife and kids know of my addiction but I do not think the extended family knows yet, I can go out there and drink beer and dust off the containers, its all lot of fun, I might be oil crazy but I am sure it does not need to be at room temperature.

Considering the temperature fluctuations it sees one year in my crankcase, I don't get too excited over temperature fluctuations stored in the garage.

Most warehouses where the oil is kept before its shipped to the stores are close to the outside temperatures... They can't heat/cool these huge facilities so if it survives there it should survive fine in your garage!

I have about 4 cases and a few oil filters in a cabinet in my shop. When the supply works it way down to 5 or 6 quarts I get more.

I do wrap the oil filters in plastic wrap to keep dirt dobbers and stuff out of them.
