How to manually slide driver's seat back? (broken electrical)

I have some broken wires in the harness that connects to the module, so the seat won't slide forward/back. I'd like to be able to just manually slide it back a few inches, but I don't know much about how these mechanisms work. Here's a pic of the underside:

Yeah most powered seats use a worm gear to allow for precise movement vs a manual seat which looks like it has only a few notches of travel adjustment.

I gotta ask: if you know you have broken wires, you must know where they're at? Why not repair?

In the spirit of staying on topic, please post up what you do. I only ASSume most power seats can't really be adjusted sans power.

I can't get the black and white piece of this connector separated in order to push the pin out, and the more I mess with it, the more wires break off. I'm planning to buy a new car in the next 4-6 months, so if there's an easy way to just get the seat where I want it, I'm happy with that.

Unscrew that and turn the center core with a drill to move the seat track, should be another cable going to the other side unless they are geared together. If that's problem, find the two wires that feed the motor and put 12v + and - to them to move the tracks together.

Yeah, just figure out what wires are power forward and/or back, and ground, and just hotwire it.

Had an old Galaxie with seats we found out of a jy Caddy, that's how we adjusted them when needed.
