How old is your oldest motorcycle?

I have ridden my norton commandos (1972 and 1975) over 500 miles so far this year and will ride another 500 or so next week. I have done 600 on a 1959 r26 bmw, about 450 on a sl175 honda and about 400 on a 1963 Triumph tiger cub. My oldest bike is a 1931 but I regularly ride bikes back into the 1940s. I will confess however, that for distances I ride a r1250 gsa bmw.

1987 BMW K-75S. Purchased new in '86 and rode it all over the country until I parked it for good around 1995 with about 13K miles because "life happens". Kids are now grown and on their own so it's time to see if I can get it running again. Even though it was kept in a garage it doesn't seem to appreciate the neglect, especially the temperamental electronic fuel injection and ignition systems which was brand new technology back then. Needless to say I have my work cut out for me with this project.
Getting Started.webp

No wheel wire spokes to clean. No chain to clean, lube, repeat.
Only one thing wrong. Actually two things.
Wrong handlebar. It's not a Virago bar. I found one locally and should have it on soon.
Turn signal self-cancel is out. Won't cancel. Should be easy enough.
40 years young bike!
