How old is your oldest motorcycle?

1974 Yamaha YZ 250. Well, I actually gave it to my 13 year old son in 1985 and he still owns it. He’ll be 52 in September. :) My Superglide is a 2009 and has just over 50,000 miles.

I foolishly sold it a few years back, but a Avus black 1972 BMW R75/5. The '70 through mid-model '73's were the 54 in. short wheel base. Rode and wrenched a lot over 15 years. I was always it's senior by 21 years, birthdays about the same week. Thoroughly gone through mechanically and electrically, but never cosmetically.

Next oldest bike is a '81 Suzuki GS650G (not GL low rider) shaftie.

2000 Suzuki GZ 250, less than 500 original miles, rides like a new bike.
That is the exact bike I did MSF safety course on. I have heard that they were quite reliable bop abouts. I recall always scraping the pegs on the cone path turns. One instructor thought it was funny, the other (the lead) was not at all happy. In fact he flunked me for the final license test and I had to return one more time. He was all about the Goldwings and could put on a real show on super slow and balance bar tricks.

2002 Suzuki Hayabusa bought new. 67k miles, bored and stroked to over 1600cc's for the last 50k miles. 285 rwhp 160 rwtq. Lots of tires. Still puts a smile on my face every ride.

I like the old bikes but I only have the 2020 Honda Monkey. I did have some nice old Honda's that were brand new back in the days when you could buy what was called a new carry over for under $500.00.

I know people with 50+ year old bikes that haven't turned a wheel in 30 years. I don't think they count and I read the question as oldest motorcycle on the road and in regular use.

79 BMW R45

Naturally aspirated with nitrous or all engine? Nice bike!
Thanks.

All motor. It's been running strong for 50k. The reality is it's rare to be able to use all of the power.
Falicon stroker crank
Millenium engine block
MTC pistons
Crower Ti rods
Ferrea Ti valves and retainers, and performance springs
Web cams
Fast by Gast transmission
etc, etc.

There are certainly Turbo bikes with far more power, but with the turbo lag they aren't much fun riding on twisty mountain roads. They shine for dragracing, Landspeed racing, etc.
