And after being traded-in, it'll be washed, vacuumed and put on the lot as a "certified pre-owned" probably.

The van is supposed to get done about every 7500 miles, but it never works out that way. It probably gets done closer to every 9,000 miles.

Nissan gets serviced every 3,750 miles or 6 months, as required under warranty.

I have a 2005 Impala. It had 23k miles when I got it and had a fresh oil change. I will be doing 3k miles per month. It had a fresh oil change when I got it. I added Auto-Rx. I am currently on the rinse phase. Afterwards, I will do oil changes based on the OLM. Anxious to see what it recommends. I will be using Mobil Synthetic, so there will be a margin of extra protection.

I have neighbors who do the same thing. Which is why I stay clear of buying lease returns.

Wiser words have never been spoken.

Both of my daily drivers no longer are covered by a factory warranty:

2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac - 1X per year using Amsoil SSO 0-W30. Change filter every 6 months. 1 year ends up being 20K to 23K miles. Driving is well over 90% highway.

2007 Jeep Liberty - 1X per year or every 15K miles using Amsoil 0-W20 and their Ea filter. Driving is primarily rural but there is some city and highway miles too.
