True enough. I used to have a major advantage over all the fuel-miserly econoboxes. Now, between my Golf TDI and a 35-mpg Fit or Yaris, the fuel cost per mile is practically the same.
And in July and August, when my fuel mileage usually goes to [censored], I'll be paying at least 1-2 cents more per mile... unless gas prices go a lot higher.
