Ok, I know this is an impossible question to answer, but I would appreciate any guesses.

My 05 accord has 110k miles on, when the valce cover was off it looked great. Has slight piston slap which Honda tech said is no big deal after valve adjustment. I run Full synthetic, either mobil 1 or Pennzoil platinum or ultra.

I just had the whole car painted and dings taken out from a very good body shop. it looks brand new (friends shop), he used good PPG paint and did really nice prep work.

So the question is, how long do you think body and engine can last on this before it starts robbing my wallet?

Just do the regular maintenance stuff and you're good till 300k easy.
I've seen Honda BIKES with over 100K on them. The car engines should go 300 easily.

I have a 2006 Accord 2.4 with 114,000 miles. I like the K24 engine, very smooth and refines. I would change the oil every 5000 miles with Platinum or Ultra, depending on your driving style...and do a transmission service every 3 years/30,000 miles at least! I do mine every year / 10,000 miles. Honda AT's are trouble prone, I had mine replaced with a new one at the honda dealership at 100,000 miles becuase mine started to flare and get a little rough. Really as long as you keep all the fluids fresh, keep the valves adjusted and change the oil and filter often it should last a LONG time. I really like the 7th gen accord. Very well rounded car with a great drivetrain. Just keep it washed and waxed and get yours rust proofed, you live up north so rust will take it before the engine goes. What was wrong with your paint to have needed a new paint job already? My paint still looks very good.

You probably don't have to deal with what the road crews use as "sand" in the winter.

besides body and engine you are forgetting two other important areas - transmission and suspension. I'd say watch out for suspension and transmission issues as you approach 150k.

42.

Since Honda introduced the 600 coupe in 1971 in the US, and several are known to still exist, you could expect your Honda to last at least 42 years. ( honda600coupe.com )

You should sleep well knowing that it's a Honda... the transmission will most likely blow well before the engine does

As long as you are willing to spend money on it.

Exactly...

There's no indication if OP is the 1st owner or not...but in any case...spend more on preventive maintenance now and OP'll spend less on repairs later...a LOT less and MUCH later...change ALL fluids (other than oil, of course) every 3 years and sleep well.

I want to be frank with the OP here. It's hopeless. Even if you could fix piston slap, the engine is still unlikely to last more than ~300,000 miles. Better send the car to junk yard now to end the suffering.

What? Hope you joking, plenty of cars have piston slap and suffer no ill effects.
