How do you get under your car?

Duralast jack, craftsman stands and wood chucks behind the rear wheels. When I am changing oil I will usually put the whole car on jack stands as I rotate the tires too.

A mix between stands, ramps and nothing

I can't use ramps on my Accord because it overshoots EVERY time and the ramps end up under the rocker panels.

Ramps on the Infiniti.

Pilot has enough ground clearance for me to slide under.

My garage isn't that big so maneuvering the floor jack around is a pain. I hate getting on my knees to adjust jack stands as well.

I don't need anything to get under my FJ. (Don't need to get under it at all for an oil change since I use a pump extractor and the filter is up top. Easiest oil change ever.)

I do use rhino ramps for the other vehicles and if I need extra room under the FJ.

I will probably do this now that I have jack stands...why not?

I drive mine up onto the Kwik Lift. For a taller vehicle like the pickup I don't even need to put it up-just the extra height of the ramps gives plenty of room under it. For the cars I have enough room to sit up if I want.

I use a jack and jack stands for repairs, but changing oil I can just do it with my Camry on the ground. Same with my mom's Jeep Patriot and the Trailblazer and Jeep.

But I haven't needed my jack and jack stands for repairs on my Camry. I'm waiting for it to break!

I have been using the same set of those silver/grey ramps for the past 20 years.

I really like those black Scepter ramps though!

So I bought some 2x8 lumber at Lowes. Cut, glued and screwed them together in such a way that I had a ramp that my front bumper on the Versa Note would not hit on the ramp as it began the upward crawl onto each step of the ramp. The ramp was cut and assembled to go up on four steps. I might add a fifth to get it up just a tad higher. I also put a small block at the end of the ramp to act as a stop so I don't drive off the other end of it. This has worked out very well as a ramp.

Yes, that is what I did. My version is only four steps high though. Will be adding a fifth step soon though. Another mod I did from this version is add a real short 2x block on the top edge at the end for a stop.

With her car, I use Rhino ramps and with my Jeep, I don't need any.

I haven't figured out how to use traditional stands on her car since the lift points are just big enough for the hand jack. With my Jeep, I can just use an axle tube.

Im with glock in my driveway i do the same thing when i had the shop it was different and even now my brother has a shop but its not so close to me.

I like the height they provide. Do you have the length you cut each board to? Thanks.

On the Mini, car backed into the garage, with front of car sticking out past the opening of the bay to gain a couple inches and also on Rhino Ramps (ramps are slightly inside the garage), also the way I did it on my 2012 Camry when I had it.

Toyota Rav4 and BMW 3 series just on Rhino Ramps in the driveway.

For oil changes, ramps are boss.
I bought a set of Rhino Ramps in 2010 for my newly purchased old BMW. I did the first drain sans ramps and decided that wouldn't happen again. It was that hard to get to the drain plug, although the filter lives happily up top.
You have the same gen Accord as one of our's and you can't really do an oil and filter change without getting the car up. On our older Accords, I could drive the driver's side wheel up onto a piece of 2X6 and then be able to wriggle under the car enough to get to the oil filter. I don't think that this would happen with the '12, plus I'm older and thicker these days.
So, for oil changes, ramps. For anything involving an extended stay up, jack stands.

Lucky you. I need at least one more inch to get under my Camry. Often I'll do the shady thing and just jack up the inch, sans jackstand. It's so close... but that extra inch goes a long ways.

I fear the the oil drain pan I just bought will be too tall to get under it. Will know in about 2 months.

I do my Explorer on one ramp on the filter side ...
Saves me lugging two heavy wood ramps and might be less prone to roll ???
