Not me...I'll curse him everytime I fill my tank...

Probably cheaper to fly the mechanics in locally and pay them $300/hour.

Can believe he trusts those stealerships so much that he would fly his car to one.

He doesn't get my vote to be a bitoger

he doesnt need to trust anyone since he can buy another if something goes wrong. but i bet the dealer likes him anyway since he probably tips well. hahah

Ironic that one so filthy rich from oil profits sends the car to another country for an oil change.

I don't know. Figure how much it would cost for two techs (or just one) ..the security clearances ..the renting of a facility with all the goodies required ..the (perhaps) proprietary tools ..the accommodations ..and the mandatory brokering fee that the upscale para Beverly Hills snobbery would charge for the grandeur of their assistance...and I can easily see $1000/hour billable.

What's the hourly rate for one of these pigs, anyway, E$500? Now go 48 hours of billable time (plus travel expenses) ..and you've got your $E30k price tag anyway.

I'll fly myself there and change the motor oil and filter for half the price to fly it to england. Done in 1 hour.

See you again after 3,000 miles or 3 months!

The sheer waste of such an endeavor is sickening. What are these sheiks going to do when it all dries up? Then they can enjoy their little sandy empire without oil profits going towards wasteful endeavors.

20 billion at a safe 5% return would make me happy for a long time.

On the topic:
It's amazing what (excess/abundance) money can do/buy. I'm very sure he has much more money than he knows what to do with. But, hey, to each his own.

Off the topic:
Who are we to criticize this one wealthy individual when we as a relatively rich nation(s): waste tons of food by not eating all on our plate, wasting millions of gallons of water taking long showers and leaving the water on when we brush our teeth or wash our cars, burning billions of gallons of gas with our addiction to large SUV's (and cars in general). Some may say "because I can" or "I'm entitled to it". Well, I'm sure the sheik is saying the same thing.

To the relatively poorer nations, our wastefulness is as bad in their eyes as this one sheik is in our eyes.

BTW, I'm not a tree-huggin' environmentalist. Just a concerned parent for my two kids and am as guilty in being wasteful as the average Joe.

Back to the topic:
A real BITGOr would be there with the car making sure they replaced the filter, crush washer and filled it with the right amount and proper viscosity oil.

Now I'm curious. Technically, what is involved with changing the oil in a Lamborghini? Is this one of those you-have-to-take-the-motor-out services?

Well, I'm sure it's not a matter of spinning a Fram off and dropping the oil out. I'm also sure it's not just an oil change that's performed during the service.

Where's the good Dr. Haas to give us a clue as to what the upscale dealer in the Sarasota area does on one of his thoroughbred machines outside of "just an oil change" and, perhaps, what hoops he jumps through to perform his own???

Based on the simple jack being used on a lambo' at Unique Whips to "customize" (read: loud stereo, new dubs, and plushy interior), there probably ain't much to it.

An Aston-Martin DB-12 someone posted on here used a $80 dollar OE filter, ten or so quarts of oil (IIRC), but that was it...
