I'm looking to replace the air and in-cabin filters for my 04 accord and was going to stick with OEM as that is what I did for my altima, only problem is I got my Altima filters from IRONTOAD.COM, but they don't have honda stuff. The dealerships in my area are not an option really, at least for the engine air filter as the cheapest I found was 23.50 which seems a bit much. Does anyone know a reputable place online to get discounted honda filters? Or, are there filters out there that fit an accord 3.0 V6 as well as an OEM, such as an STP, Fram, or purolator?

Thanks
DR

I went to Lowes and bought a $10 3-M HVAC air filter ,used my old Cabin air filter as a template and cut a custom one out of the 3-M material. Better than the OEM filter and lasts longer... its so easy and cheap. Try it!

Boaz,

What do you do in the military ?? I hope you are not fixing any military jets with your 'creative engineering'

I have a 98 and 00 accord one is a v6.
I purchased fram air filters from walmart for $10.
The STP was $10 and the Fram was $11 at autozone.
Ive not had a problem with any of them But Oine does not get many problems with an ait filter.

check out any of the 'worldpac' parts sales sites. They are mentioned on here from time to time, everyone has their favorites, including me, but since they arent sponsors, we shouldnt list them...

I get all the toyota, acura and mitsubishi parts I need for my father's GF's and brother's cars from the same place I get my MB and BMW parts.

Look for nippon and/or denso parts, theyre the best bets. denso oil filters are good, and nippon air filters seem to be good. "Full" is a thai company (I believe) that makes asian (and some european) car parts. Their oil filters seem to be a little undersized, just from the external casing footprint, but their air filters seem OK, and you can typically save a few bucks. Id go for nippon/denso first, unless their versions of an air filter are really pricey (my GF's integra air filter is really expensive, and we usually replace it ahead of time anyway, so we get full brand air filters).

When shopping online, see if there is a dollar minimum to get free shipping. If so, buy that amount. Shipping adds up these days.

Prices vary alot, but, get ready to start cussing. Getting to those filters is a pain in the gluteous maximus. Be very careful taking out the plastic trim pieces. They are held on with plastic rivets and they will break.

i did the same, except i went to an HVAC place and had them custom make on for 45 bucks.

washable with sheet metal frame =)

Honda's main filter supplier in Japan is Toyo Roki. Personally I think they make a fine product, but man do their air filters get expensive. Back in '96, the dealer wanted almost $40 for an OEM Integra air filter, with a unique design. I bought a Korean-made Purolator knockoff for $12.99 at Pep Boys.

Majestic is alright, but I've had them screw up my order on more than one occasion. Call the guys up at College Hills Honda (www.collegehillshonda.com), they'll ship to anywhere and they usually come in lower than Majestic and H&A.

WoW dead thread revival!

Fram's QC sucks.
On all the CA8475 filters at my local CTC I checked there was black goop spilled onto parts of the filter paper. For the $$$ I'm paying, no way am I buying their shoddy workmanship.

Over to my Honda dealer and was
