Demarpaint, interesting comment. I met a tech who recently left a local Honda dealership, he beleves that Honda has slipped in quality and engineering recently to maintain a price point. I do not see myself buying another Honda product.

I know of someone that had a problem with a cnew Civic she brought the car to the dealer 3 times and the problem was still there after she got the Lawyer involved 4 months later Honda waned the car back (a 2008 with around 10,000) and gladly gave her a new 2009 with44 miles...Try being nice for a while and then clobber them with the Law! New York is not as good as New Jersey in regards to lemon law but N.Y. is ok..
Have to have same thing fixed 3 times by dealer then it is a Lemon. I can see them getting around that as easily as the Immigration fence. However, my cynicism aside..
No Lawyer = No Justice. My parent's boyfriend DID work out a trade of a 1996 Subaru with blown Head Gasket after 1 week for a 1999 Mercury Sable, in 2002, though... in NJ. Hmmm.
My Honda V-6 2010 Accord at 10,000 miles requires about 2/3 of a quart per 2,000 miles.
Using PP 5W-20 and Honda oil filter changed at the dealership.
Have been told the engine has variable cylinder management.
3-cyl/4 cyl/ 6 cyl
They all use a lot of oil...it has caused spark plug fouling in some engines. The best advice I have been given is to check the oil every 1,000 miles...top it off and watch your mpg. If it falls off it may be time to clean or replace the plugs.
